The 1998 Version Of Me

in 1998 I was decoding programs that executed illegal tasks on Social Media (before it was called social media). We called them "proggies". I understood what was entailed in C+ programming & web design. I wanted nothing to do with it. I foresaw myself losing my mind if I had to work on computers for more than 5 hours a day. When it came to college & additional schooling I took a different road Instead of going the computer science route.

The 1998 version of myself would be l...aughing at the 2015 version of myself right now. Designing audio scores with narration & video. Yes what I do is primarily audio but I am getting burnt out from time to time because of so much time spent on tedious tasks that involve web design & video.
My creative skill is higher than most employed by big business. Unfortunately most businesses in America have been brainwashed to believe advertising can solve all your problems. It doesn't. Advertising is only the space or time you purchase to showcase your image or sound. Most times both. Marketing is the design of your audio/video, picture or campaign.
When you go out to spend money on celebrations you have a reason, right? Advertising is the same way. You need to have something to say and show. "Come here, check this out, please support" only works for so long. Speak to your customers/fan base properly. If your marketing is professional you will have a greater organic reach and you will spend LESS on advertising.

No Struggle vs Know Struggle

Everyone should know struggle. Don't get me wrong, not everyone is built to withstand struggles in life. You should know about struggle. Struggle builds character and teaches priceless life lessons. This is a very black and white topic for me. Personally I cannot elaborate on it any more than I already have. Be strong. I'm willing to help you when you ask, but only then.
